Not to sound preachy, BUT if you are a writer or illustrator considering doing one conference this year, this is THE conference! It is invaluable for making professional connections, getting editorial and agent feedback, and best of all, it’s just a ton of fun!

  1. Looks like a great conference! I’m so bad at taking photos at conference. I enjoyed the photos you shared because I knew some of the people. You’re not a dork, Mike — just crazy funny!

    • Laura, Maybe. I’ll have to check the calendar. How was Las Vegas? I’m waiting for my copy of Goodnight, Ark to arrive. Can’t wait for you to autograph it. 🙂

  2. I can’t believe how many people I recognize from this conference versus the New England SCBWI conference. What magic is in that Jersey water?

Still numero uno on my writer’s bucket list…Gotta hope 2015 is the penultimate year!

Mike you are SO NOT a dork 🙂 It made me so happy to get to meet you and Susanna and quite a few other friends “from online first.” 🙂 Robin, every time I saw you you were wearing a huge smile. Pretty much everyone was. Maybe it IS the water 😉 All I know is it went by way too quickly.

Seriously, I wish everyone could experience our conference, at least once. I loved seeing all of you! 😀 😀 😀 And these photos! They’re fantastic! I’m terrible remembering to take pictures and when I do, they’re rarely good. So glad you posted these. I hope everyone IN the pics knows they’re here 🙂

I didn’t look at all the books lined up at the book fair ’cause I’d already spent WAY too much money on them, but I didn’t realize Rachelle Burk’s Don’t Turn This Page was there either! If I had the money and the room, I would’ve bought pretty much at least one of everything, maybe more—as gifts! Ah, there’s nothing like kidlit and kidlit people! ((Hugs for all!))

  4. Yes, I’ve heard so many good things about NJSCBWI. I’d love to attend a conference there sometime! I recognized many people in this post!
