Upcoming Events, School Visits & Chance to Win $50 Gift Card to Books of Wonder

I can’t believe Labor Day is around the corner and that the school year has started for some, or is about to start for others. Where did the time go?

I spent most of the summer hiding out at my favorite place on the North Fork of Long Island trying to write or revise with my faithful, overworked, and underfed colleagues, Madeleine and Cupcake.

MAPLEWOOD SOUTH ORANGE BOOK FESTIVAL

Yesterday I attended my first Maplewood South Orange Book Festival. It was AMAZING!!!!

It was my first book festival since the pandemic began, and there was this was wonderful sense of normalcy that we’ve all missed—children were laughing and running around, chasing balloons, eating candy, browsing and reading books, and oohing and aahing as illustrators created magic right before their eyes.

Below are a few photographic highlights:

I’d like to shout out a super huge thank you to Robert Lasner, Bookends, and to all the extraordinary volunteers who made yesterday so very special. Can’t wait for next year’s festival!
